About

CEPE (Colombia Evidencia Potencial en Educación) is a collaborative initiative that aims to strengthen the Colombian education system to ensure every child reaches their full potential, by promoting evidence-based decisions and strategic partnerships. CEPE brings together public, private, and international actors to advance data-driven decision-making for quality education and child development.

How it works

CEPE operates through three complementary pillars:

  • Co-funding Mechanism (CFMx) — mobilizes financial resources from public, private, and international sources to sustain educational initiatives and maximize impact through efficient resource management.

  • Evidence Lab (EdLab) — a platform that connects organizations to generate, share, and apply evidence-based insights, informing policies and practices at both national and territorial levels.

  • Communities of Change (CoC) — territorial alliances that build shared visions and create scalable educational policies and practices, improving learning outcomes locally and nationally.

Founding partners

CEPE is supported by six foundations:

  • Jacobs Foundation
  • Fondation Botnar
  • UBS Optimus Foundation
  • Bancolombia Foundation
  • Santo Domingo Foundation
